Overview
Designed for practising teachers, this new course, first delivered in 2014, is an exploration of mobile technologies in education and educational research. Over 10 sessions, we'll take a look at mobile learning around the world, explore current and emerging mobile platforms, discuss how to make pedagogical use of mobile technologies in the classroom, and consider policy and research issues. Participants will have the opportunity to create a mobile app, site or activity, or to curate an annotated collection of mobile apps, sites or activities.
Structure
This course runs over 10 weeks, with 3 hours of input time each week, divided into a -before class- Online Lecture, a -during class- Face-to-Face Tutorial, and an -after class- Online Activity. The weekly topics for 2014 are shown below.
